Position Overview
DJs and MCs represent the energy and personality of Moxie Events. This opportunity is ideal for confident, dependable entertainers who enjoy music, people, performance, hospitality, and live event environments.
Team members in this role may be responsible for music programming, crowd engagement, emcee duties, event announcements, timeline support, setup assistance, client interaction, and helping ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing as a DJ and/or MC at weddings, private parties, school events, corporate events, fundraisers, nightlife events, and other celebrations
- Creating a fun, professional, and engaging atmosphere for guests
- Reading the room and adjusting music selections based on the crowd and event style
- Making announcements and assisting with event flow
- Supporting introductions, formalities, dances, games, transitions, and key moments
- Communicating professionally with clients, planners, venues, and team members
- Arriving prepared, on time, and ready to represent Moxie Events with excellence
- Assisting with setup, breakdown, and equipment handling when needed
- Following event timelines and details provided by the Moxie team
- Maintaining a polished, friendly, and professional presence throughout each event
What We Look For

- Strong public presence and professionalism
- Music knowledge across multiple genres

- A fun, outgoing, and energetic personality
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills
- Weekend availability
- The ability to stay calm and professional in fast-paced environments
- A passion for weddings, entertainment, hospitality, and live events
- A willingness to learn Moxie’s style, systems, and client experience standards
Experience
Prior DJ, MC, entertainment, hospitality, theater, music, radio, performance, or event experience is a plus, but we are also open to talented individuals who are eager to learn and grow.
Position Type
Event-based opportunities. Weekend and evening availability is preferred.
