A few years ago, I came up with a signature ending for my wedding receptions. It involves all of the guests and ends the night on a “kumbaya” note. With each successive wedding, I’ve refined it and modified it to the point where my videos of it on Facebook have helped me book several weddings each year. The best part was when DJ Adam Bomb incorporated it into his offerings!
Rihanna is my favorite artist when opening up the dance floor! Music similar to hers, plus the proper lighting setup, gets the guests onto the floor.

Being able to read the room and bringing an ebb and flow that doesn’t tire the guests out, yet keeps them wanting to be active on the dance floor. I’m not running an aerobics class, so I’ll break the high pace with sentimental ballads that will get people from the bridal party to their 80-90-year-old grandparents dancing. And then when the slow set is over…BOOM..I will keep them on the floor all night!
Weddings – Several couples have been surprised by the amount of detail that we cover so as to relieve them of any concerns on the day of the big event. There have been times when I replaced a DJ and later found out that my attention to detail is what made the event a success.
I had two weddings in the same year that were intertwined. The Bride and Groom from the first wedding ended up being the Maid of Honor and Officiant of a different wedding 7 months later. When we began the planning stages with the second couple, it was revealed that there was an overlap between the two events. The second couple sought me out because of the first couple’s reception. Seeing several families and guests that I was already familiar with were thrilled that I was the DJ, and it made the night so much more rewarding. Even with the familiarity, I was able to exceed even the second couple’s expectations. At the end of the night, I got sincere hugs, high fives, and fist bumps from all of the wedding couples’ families from BOTH weddings!
I ask them to provide me with a playlist of one or two dozen songs to serve as inspiration for the rest of their playlist outside of the core songs (1st dance, parental dances, etc.). I tell them about things that I’ve succeeded with at other events and offer to tailor those things to be personal and customized for them. Truthfully, the first planning session is just an introduction. I let them get a sense of who I am and what I plan to do for them to knock it out of the park. I make casual inquiries about the couple so that I have something that I can leverage to ease any concerns they may have. Then I lay out expectations and the direction of the planning process so that they know what to expect, what will be needed, and leave them knowing that I will leave them in awe of what we do at Moxie/Powerbomb.
I’ve aided Adam and other DJ’s by operating the sparkler fountains and fog machine. Upgrading my lights to a Chauvet GigBar Move has made a massive difference in my presentation.
The week of the event, I email the other vendors a “roadmap” of the event. The day of, I walk up to each of them and introduce myself to them, and let them know that the best event possible only happens when we work in sync. When we are cognizant of each other, we look out for each other, and are able to enhance and exceed the expectations of the Bride and Groom. We swap business cards and contact info.
That I’m a late bloomer at DJing, I worked at college radio in the mid-80’s to mid-90’s, I actually got into weddings via film photography. I host live trivia at bars and restaurants. When my regulars started asking me to DJ the most memorable events of their lives, I realized that I had a knack for it.
I’ve known Adam for over 15 years. We met as hosts for Team Trivia. I love working for and with Adam because when I look back at our beginnings, it amazes me what we are doing NOW!
We had a joyous post wedding party. We wanted to make it a rocking dance party and DJ Johnny was up to the task and then some. He took my pre-formulated playlist and stuck with it with the exception of a few well placed songs for the younger crowd. The pacing and order of the songs was perfect. He provided exactly the right amount of commentary. Couldn’t be happier.
Thank you so much for your part in our Buddy Ball this year. It truly meant so much to Sam, Fallon, and me, as well as all the kids and adults who attended. A picture is worth a thousand words, and when looking through the photos from the booth, I’m reminded more than ever how important inclusion and friendship are, and I can’t thank you enough for continuing to support our mission.

He not only had an awesome playlist for us; he was attentive and checked in often both during and prior to our event. I was able to make small changes due to timing issues and other little things I didn’t think of until they happened and he didn’t skip a beat in the moment. I would highly recommend moxie entertainment and DJ Manny.

Absolutely phenomenal. My wedding was such a success, largely in part bc of DJ AdamBomb and DJ Scar. Had one for the reception with a seamless transition to the after party at the hotel bar. Got the Photo Booth with an accompanying album which was fantastic. I received one of every pic taken that evening at the booth both paper in a beautiful album and also digital. Also had a real time photo experience where you scanned a QR code and uploaded pics to a big screen TV to everyone to view. Also received digital gallery of all of those. Lastly had a telephone where everyone left there well wish’s. These DJs had the party going the entire night. The dance floor at both events were always crowded. Pure perfection overall!
Two words: BOOK NOW: DJ Adam was more than just a DJ, he was the life of the party! He helped design the flow for the whole day, gave great ideas that we never thought of, and of course got the party going and kept it going. Adam was super fun, had tons of energy, and was very personable all while being extremely professional.
We met with Adam a few weeks before the wedding which was great. He answered all our questions and walked us through every detail. He listened to all our requests and made us feel so at ease. He played every song we requested, and even made a mix on the spot so he could play every single song for us before the wedding wrapped up, which was not an easy task as we had hours of song requests. We have received countless complements about Adam and how amazing he was. Our parents loved him, our friends loved him, and we LOVED him! Our photographer even made it a point to tell us how amazing it was to work along side Adam and will be recommending him to all her future couples. We also added on a classic monogram that was projected on the wall by the dance floor which made for a cool photo background. Plus we ordered foam wands which were personalized with our names and wedding date! They were such a cool additive to the dance floor and vibe. I truly can’t recommend DJ Adam and Moxie Events enough for all your event needs! He will keep the dance floor popping and party going all night long!
Moxie Events and DJ Adam Bomb were absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish. Adam was professional, responsive, and truly understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding. We were so appreciative that he made the trip out to Newtown Square to DJ our big day—it meant a lot to us, and he delivered beyond expectations. The music was perfect all night, the energy never dipped, and our guests are still talking about the dance floor. The Photo Booth was also a huge hit and added so much fun to the night—everyone loved it. Moxie Events was such a fun addition to our wedding! We hired them to do a 360 photo booth during our wedding reception, we loved it, and so did our guests! It was such a fun addition to our wedding. They made sure the process was easy and seamless for our guests and for us. Not only was the 360 photo booth so much fun, but Moxie was wonderful to work with. Through no fault of their own, there was a miscommunication that left my husband and me with a different video format than what we had asked for just two days before our wedding. I genuinely did not think the issue could be resolved in time because we only became aware of the discrepancy after the working day was over and with the wedding so close, but Moxie fixed the issue not even an hour after I emailed them. I think that says a lot about what kind of a company they are because the miscommunication was not their fault, brought to their attention outside of working hours, and yet they still fixed the issue in record time. Not only did they fix the issue, but the result was better than what we initially anticipated. I will use Moxie again in the future, and I cannot recommend them enough!
We can’t say enough about Adam and Moxie Events as he was a HUGE contributor in making our wedding day the most special and best day ever! Adam’s attention to detail from planning our entire ceremony, reception, music playlist, and also helping me write my vowels (LOL), was absolutely outstanding!! We have received so many compliments on how amazing our ceremony and reception was and that was all attributed to Adam! Although my husband and I really wished we were married in church, Adam made sure to make our ceremony so special yet comical, we will forever cherish that moment for the rest of our lives! DJ Bob supplied and ran the music for our wedding ceremony and reception. He also emceed the reception, making various introductions and announcements throughout the evening. He was not only a pleasure to work with, but one of the most professional DJs I’ve ever met. As a musician myself, I’ve participated in dozens of weddings and seen just as many DJs. It’s rare to find people who are as attentive and intentional as Bob, and we were absolutely thrilled with how calmly and professionally he presented everything. He had creative input and ideas if/when we were unsure, but also took our suggestions and recommendations and executed them flawlessly throughout the night. It was a pleasure working with Bob, and we’d recommend him to any of our family and friends who get married.
Our DJ was Chase. What a fantastic evening, didn’t know we were also getting an event planner. He was fantastic keeping everything on time and moving. He had the crowd dancing and enjoying themselves; couldn’t have asked for more. We also went with the Photo Booth and the telephone messaging system. It was a big hit with everyone! Sitting down and enjoying all of that and reliving the day was the best. Couldn’t have asked for a better night!
We hired Moxie to provide the photobooth for my parents’ anniversary party, and everyone at the party loved both the attendants and the photos they took. I interacted mostly with Sarah before and after the event; she was extremely kind and professional, and she significantly reduced our anxiety while planning for the party. Sarah and Kenna were the people running the booth during the event, and our family and friends loved them both, universally stating that they made an experience that already would have been excellent even better. One of my younger nieces especially loved taking photo after photo, and Sarah and Kenna were so wonderful with her that she’s still talking about it weeks later. It was challenging to find a photobooth company that would travel to the part of Western PA my family is from (almost 2 hours outside of Pittsburgh) or that wasn’t already booked for a weekend in June only 3 months in advance, which makes us even more grateful that we were able to book Moxie because they added something truly special to our family party. Thank you to the company, as well as to Sarah (many times over) and Kenna!

Moxie Events provided us with two sparkler fountains for our wedding entrance, and everyone couldn’t stop raving about them! They made our entrance into the ballroom so unique! There was a technician on site for set up and safety, and she even gave us a sneak peek before the real thing.
